Meet the Assessor
Ace Energy Assessments is led by Jack Henderson, who came to energy assessment the long way around — through 16 years in the building industry and 8 years in high-end residential design. That background is the whole point of the business: Jack has stood on the sites, drawn the details and solved the buildability problems, so he reads a set of plans the way a builder and a designer do, not just as numbers to feed into rating software.
It matters most on ambitious homes. A design-led, glazing-heavy build is exactly where a box-ticking assessment tends to come back with “shrink the windows” — and where years in high-end residential design let Jack instead find the shading, glazing and Performance Solution path that gets the home over 7 stars without gutting the architecture. Jack is a NatHERS accredited assessor (HERA accreditation HERA10370), working across NatHERS, Whole of Home, Section J, BASIX, Form 15 and Performance Solutions for clients from the Sunshine Coast to Far North Queensland and Australia-wide.
