What is a BASIX assessment?

BASIX (Building Sustainability Index) is a NSW planning requirement that ensures new homes and major renovations meet targets for water, thermal comfort, and energy efficiency. A BASIX Certificate must be lodged with your development application or complying development certificate. We assess your plans, run them through BASIX-accredited tools, and issue the certificate ready for submission.

Who needs BASIX?

If you're building a new home or undertaking major renovations in NSW, you'll need a BASIX Certificate to lodge with your development application. The Certificate demonstrates your project meets water, energy efficiency, and thermal comfort targets.
